2022-2023 School Year – COVID-19 Updates Posted Below

Updates Below are Current as of January 24, 2023 CDC Guidance

Dear Families

The district has updated several documents related to COVID-19 including:

  1. Washakie #1 ARP ESSER Implementation Plan with Budget Narrative
  2. Washakie 1 Safe Return to In Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan – Updated May 23, 2022

  4. Public Comment Survey on the Above Plans

The District is also in the process of updating procedures in the event your student has tested positive for COVID-19.  Please see below:   

POSITIVE TEST:

STUDENTS AND STAFF THAT TEST POSITIVE FOR COVID-19:

Should stay home from school until all of the following are true:

  • Have not had a fever (without the use of fever-reducing medication) for at least 24 hours
  • Have all symptoms that are improving
  • It has been at least 5 days since symptoms first started

Avoid contact with immuno-compromised students and staff.

EXPOSURE TO COVID-19:

  1. If You Are Symptom Free, No Quarantine is Necessary

 

STRATEGIES FOR EVERYDAY OPERATIONS:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Stay home when sick and avoid contact with other people unless you need medical attention.
  • Wash hands as much as possible.  If washing hands is not possible the use of hand sanitizers containing at least 60% alcohol is advised.
  • Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue and promptly discard tissue in the trash.
