Virtual Education- Washakie Online

Washakie #1 Online - Virtual Education Program

Washakie #1 Online is a fully accredited online virtual school for students in grades K-12.  Washakie #1 Online is well established and has been serving local familes with a variety of needs since 2008.  Washakie #1 Online offers a rigorous curriculum that is fully aligned to and inclusive of Wyoming Content and Performance Standards.  All courses have been approved by the Wyoming Department of Education.

Washakie #1 Online uses local course instructors who are fully certified in their content areas.  Student support is available onsite at all schools through Title I Reading (K-8), after school tutoring (K-12), and at Worland High School via our Alternative Education Program which is fully staffed with a bilingual director.  Students particiapte in beginning of the year screening and end of year assessments such as WY-TOPP.

For the 2022-23 school year the district is offering two platforms:

  • K12 (Elementary K-5, Middle School 6-9, and High School 9-12)
  • Edgenuity (Grades 6-12)

For the 2022-23 school year, Washakie No. 1 Online is accepting local students only.  Families who are interested in Washakie No. 1 Online please contact Jody Rakness at the district office 347-9286 or email her at jrakness@wsh1.k12.wy.us to register.  If Jody is unavailable, please ask for Natasha Swalstad.
